Lighthouse Reads: A Shared Practice of Becoming

This started around a table with my friends — probably after a round of golf, drinking spicy watermelon margaritas and eating nachos at Kennedy’s.

No big plan. No strategy. It wasn’t always about books. Just honest conversations about wanting more for our lives — more meaning, more depth, more joy. Wanting to learn and grow together instead of trying to figure everything out alone.

We talk about life, love and faith — and about who we’re becoming in the middle of it all. About becoming women who are alive in our own lives: grounded, confident, radiant, magnetic. Women who don’t shrink or settle for smallness.

We wanted inspiration that felt real.
Words that stirred something deeper.
A way to grow — not just intellectually, but spiritually and personally, together.

As the end of 2025 came closer, I suggested a book club and shared a short list of options.

Captivating had been recommended to us months earlier by someone we trust, and when it came up again, it felt like the right place to begin.

Not because it has everything figured out.
But because it opens space for honest questions — about desire, faith, identity and what it means to be fully alive as a woman.

Lighthouse Reads begins here.

Not as something to get through or complete, but as a shared rhythm — reading slowly, reflecting honestly and letting the words meet us where we are.

It’s about becoming women who are rooted and radiant. Faith-filled and self-trusting. Women who are learning to live with intention, confidence and joy — not someday, but now.

There’s no pressure here.
No perfection.
No proving.

Just an invitation to read, reflect and work toward becoming more fully ourselves — side by side.

If you feel drawn to this, you’re welcome to read along with us this January.
