Started my summer off right with a stop in Knoxville and another solo trip to Charleston.
While it was hectic and a red-eye flight is no longer my friend and I really didn’t do much, it was worth it. It was worth it to see Debbie, Chandler and their families, to see how beautiful Knoxville is and to spend some time with my mom. The drive to Charleston was incredible and made even better by a stop to visit Mallory and Laila. I really didn’t do much in Charleston but relax and unwind after completing my 18th year of teaching!

Knoxville captured my heart with its beauty and spending time with my mom and family friends fed my soul. The drive to South Carolina was beautiful and made better with a stop to visit Mallory and Laila. Charleston, as always, provided the perfect backdrop for some much-needed solo time. Even though I didn’t do much, the change of scenery and the opportunity to explore at my own pace made it the perfect way to start the season.
